The nature of human cruelty is vastly complex, so I am focusing on some insights that have enlightened me. For years, like many activists and decent people in the face of blatant injustice. I was utterly baffled by the question, How do the perpetrators sleep at night?
It has been several years since the mass expulsions began. For this to go on in the 21st century is an appalling indictment of the world community. For it to go on with a Nobel Peace Prize laureate at the head of a government practicing this genocide would have been unimaginable were it not true. It makes a mockery of the prize. It must not be, hence a petition to revoke it. Please join. It is the least we can do.
September is World Alzheimer's Month. As millions around the world including in India and Bangladesh are afflicted with AD, the caregivers of AD patients are often ignored.

Writers who voice dissenting viewpoints continue to be at risk for harassment and murder, and India’s defamation laws continue to be exploited by self-interested parties to prevent the publication of material that may well be in the public interest. A culture of intolerance linked to an emerging nationalist discourse and a rise in vigilantism – which PEN International identified in its 2015 and 2016 reports on freedom of expression in the country, and reiterated in its submission to the 27th session of the Working Group of the Universal Periodic Review – continues to grow.
NDTV, Indian Express And The Relevance And Responsibility Of Mainstream Media

The Indian Express has silently withdrawn the report of sale of #NDTV. It was strange because an Express story does not come that easily to be refused. The track record of the Indian Express as far as the mainstream media is concern, is far superior and authentic to any of its contemporaries. Even today, the news stories in the Indian Express remain far more scathing than including NDTV which has always tried to balance things. Then what happened to this story. Why the Express allowed this story to die or did not speak a sentence. How can such a big story come to an end without any questioning.
