Don’t Worry Millionaires, Ann Romney is Fighting the Good Fight (Video)

Don’t worry everyone. Ann Romney is fighting for your rights as a citizen to have a transparent government — and to get timely approvals to build your beachfront properties.

Mrs. Romney took time out from her rigorous Dressage training schedule to heroically confront the San Diego City Council because it did not approve the permit for her zillion dollar beachfront mansion rebuild.

Here’s a portion of her impassioned speech:
My name is Ann Romney. I am here today to express my concern with the city of San Diego noticing procedure for development projects. The hearing officer’s decision on the coastal development and the site development permit for my home was appealed due to potential defects with the public notice. Notice defects can be problematic for transparent government and public participation, two things that Mitt and I strongly support.
See? It’s all about transparency, the public’s interest and the sound ethics and morals of the Romneys.

Just bask in her righteousness as she speaks truth to power, so that no other millionaire will have to suffer this injustice again:
I urge you to make sure stronger protections are put in place so that in the future, permits are processed efficiently and correctly, and the public is afforded the proper notice and opportunity to be heard.
Apparently, the injustice perpetrated against the Romneys was so horrific, they HAD TO HIRE THEIR OWN LOBBYIST to speed up the process, because clearly, the public interest can identify with that.

Watch a video of the Romney’s neighbors in La Jolla who joined MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell last year to discuss their displeasure at having to listen to constant construction noise due to the renovation:
